SALINAS LAKE COLCA VALLEY AND CANYON 2D/1N

We leave the city aprox. 6 am. We have breakfast on the way, we will visit Chiguata a traditional, after we aill start to ascend around Pichu pichu volcano, we will enter to the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, driving through a forest of Queñual ( typical bush that grows in the Puna and help to keep balance in the ecosistem ) after and hour driving aprox, we will rich Salinas lake, kwnon as the Peruvian Uyuni, and extention of 5 square kilometers aprox.of a big salt mines (sodium borate or borax), perfect enviroment for south american camelids and variety of birds mainly flamingos or parihuanas ( for the 5 varieties in the world here we have 3 of them), thousands of this brids plus this mirror effect and the with of the borax give us and espectacular scene, the best months to vist from february to september. We continue through the old road to Puno we will pass town like San Juan de Tarukani, Huayllacucho until we rich the new road to Puno and we will pass the wet lands or bofedales, and then the highest point
Patapampa ( 4,925 .m.o.s.l.) from this point we have a great view of two mountain ranges of the Andes, Ampato volcano. From here we will start to descend to Chivay a town that its the Capital of Caylloma Province, after lunch we will go to our hotel and then in the afternoon we will visit hot springs, and at night we can enjoy a Folkloric show and typical dances of the región.

The second day after early breakfast, we will leave to the Condor Cross Viewpoint, on the way we will visit towns like Yanque and Maca and to appreciate the amazing terraces with more than 2,000 years we have some viewpoints, also we will know where is the fardest source of Amazon river, we will drive until we rich the begining of the Canyon, a viewpoint known as the Condor Cross , Colca Canyon is considered the third deepest Canyon in the world. If we are like we will enjoy the flying of the Andean Condor consider the heaviest flying bird in the world, After all this we will retorn to Chivay, have some time to visit the local market, after lunch we will return to Arequipa City. We will arrive aprox 4:30 pm.
